Essential Tips for Your Perfect Tan

Before
Prep is Everything!

To get the most even, long-lasting glow,

 

follow these steps:

  • Exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment

  • Shave or wax at least 24 hours prior. This helps avoid irritation and allows pores to close for a smoother tan.

  • Come with clean, dry skin

  • Shower before your appointment and avoid anything that leaves residue on your skin.

DO NOT wear:

  • Perfume or body spray

  • Lotion or oils

  • Deodorant

  • Makeup

These can create barriers and cause uneven results or discoloration.

  • Wear loose, dark clothing. Tight clothing can rub off the solution before it develops.

  • Remove jewelry to prevent tan lines or uneven spots.

After
Protect your Glow!

Your tan is developing—handle with care!

  • Avoid water & sweat for 8–10 hours (or as directed)

This includes:

  • Showering

  • Working out

  • Swimming

Your first rinse:

  • Use lukewarm water only (no soap)

  • You’ll see a bronzer wash off—this is normal!

  • Gently pat dry (don’t rub)

  • Moisturize daily! Use a gentle, fragrance-free lotion.

Avoid:

  • Long hot baths or showers

  • Chlorine pools and hot tubs

  • Harsh soaps, exfoliants, or scrubs

  • Your tan will fully develop in 24 hours. The color will continue to deepen after your rinse.

 

Tips for the Best Glow:

  • Stay hydrated—your skin will thank you!

  • Use a gradual tanning lotion to extend your results

  • Pat skin dry after showers instead of rubbing
